Coral Research Trip/ Sea Grass surveys – Cat Island The Bahamas

In November, PlanetWerx invites you to Cat Island, The Bahamas, for an engaging “Follow the Bot” STEM event. This initiative will focus on coral research and seagrass surveys, using advanced technology including iSENSYS data collection buoys, ROVs, and BlueBoats with echo-sounders, cameras, and various sensors. Participants will collaborate with the Follow the Bot crew to conduct thorough marine environment surveys. After data collection, a distinguished environmental scientist will work with students to interpret the data and create actionable plans for local environmental conservation. This hands-on event aims to enhance STEM learning while supporting the preservation of Cat Island’s unique marine ecosystems.
