Coral Research & Sea Grass Surveys

PlanetWerx invites you to join us in July 2024 for an exhilarating “Follow the Bot” STEM activity in the stunning Turks and Caicos Islands. This unique event combines coral research and seagrass surveys, utilizing advanced technology such as iSENSYS data collection buoys, ROVs, and BlueBoats equipped with echo-sounders, cameras, and various sensors. Participants will have the opportunity to observe and assist the Follow the Bot crew as they conduct detailed surveys of the marine environment. Following the data collection, a special guest environmental scientist will guide students in analyzing the data to derive accurate conclusions and develop an action plan for community environmental preservation efforts. This hands-on experience not only enhances STEM learning but also contributes to the sustainability of our precious marine ecosystems.
